My Story
Helping people has always been at the heart of my career.
Long before founding Travel by Chanel Owens, I spent nearly a decade working throughout the travel industry with airlines, hotels, and rental car companies. Those years gave me a behind-the-scenes understanding of how travel works and reinforced something I still believe today: exceptional travel is about much more than flights and hotel reservations—it's about creating experiences that stay with you for a lifetime.
I later pursued a career in nursing, where I developed an even deeper appreciation for compassion and communication.
Following the COVID-19 pandemic, I returned to the travel industry with a renewed purpose. I wanted to combine everything I had learned throughout my career into a business built on service, trust, and personalized experiences.
Travel by Chanel Owens was created because I believe no two travelers are alike, so no two journeys should be either.
For me, travel planning isn't simply about booking a vacation.
It's about helping people create memories, celebrate life's milestones, strengthen relationships, and discover the world in meaningful ways.

Travel has the power to change lives.I believe it should leave a positive impact—not only on the traveler, but also on the places we visit and the people who call them home.That's why Do Good Through Travel is woven into every part of my business. A portion of my professional planning fees supports nonprofits and organizations making a meaningful difference, and I intentionally seek travel partners who share those same values.Whenever possible, I work with tour operators who practice responsible tourism, support their local communities, protect cultural and natural resources, and create meaningful opportunities for the people who live there. I also love recommending locally owned hotels, restaurants, guides, and small businesses that help preserve the unique character of a destination.Because travel isn't just about seeing incredible places—it's about helping ensure they remain incredible for generations to come.
